Did you know that a woman can change her hair style up to 150 times in her lifetime? The conclusions are from a study of the newspaper Daily Mail and reveal that the reasons for the variations of look are related to the desire for change, the influence of celebrities and the transformations that take place during life, such as the end of a relationship, the birth of a child or changing jobs, among others.
Dyeing your hair is one of the most frequent transformations in a woman's look and to protect the strands from chemical products that alter their structure and resistance and prolong the coloring, Embelleze suggests the following 5 tips for maintenance, care and repair of colored strands :
1 - Avoid very hot water
Washing hair with excessively hot water can make dyed hair dull and greasy. We therefore suggest that you keep the temperature of the bath water warm and that, whenever possible, finish washing your hair with a jet of cold water, in order to protect the shine, color and health of the colored strands.
2 - Replace lost Keratin
Bearing in mind that Keratin is the main protein that makes up the structure of the hair and that hair subjected to chemical processes (including coloring and bleaching) can have its amount of Keratin reduced by up to half, we recommend hair care with line
Novex Brazilian Keratin. Because it is hydrolyzed, Brazilian Keratin provides rapid absorption, providing replacement of lost protein mass, hydration, strength, resistance, shine and natural flexibility of the wires.
3 - Keep your hair smooth and shiny
Once dyed or bleached - and due to the chemical components present in coloring and bleaching, including Ammonia - the hair is left with open and fragile cuticles and loses water and nutrients, becoming fragile, dry, unruly and dull. In order to balance the hair's PH, seal the cuticles and thus restore the hair's natural shine and luminosity, we recommend maintaining the color with products with a more acidic content, such as the
Novex Temptation Acid line, with Apple vinegar.
4 - Protect hair from excessive heat
If you cannot let your hair dry naturally, we recommend the use of a
Capillary Shield or a
Conditioning Spray with thermal protection that protects the hair from heat (and also from excessive sun) , as it can work as a natural bleach) and prolong the duration of the color.
5 - Stay away from aggressive substances
There are many agents that can damage or remove the liveliness of your coloring, such as more aggressive soaps, anti-residue shampoos or chlorine present in swimming pool water, which can even fade and give the hair a greenish or orange hue.
